Best places to eat in Loreto?
This will be our 5th trip to Baja and the first time that we will be spending any time in Loreto. I would love to hear the best places to eat???
as we will be camped for 3 weeks before heading to Loreto, we dont plan on cooking for the whole week there.

I really enjoy La Palapa. It's on the right just before you get to the Malecon. I usually get the fresh fish in butter and garlic.
Have a great trip.

restaurantes
Loreto Islas, on the malecon by Macaws
Caesar's for tacos and stuffed chilis
El Nido for steak (El Taste's prices have gone way, way up)
Superburro for carne asada tacos
Quatros Altos for hamburgesas
Cafe Ole for breakfast or lunch
La Terraza for dinner. I like the bacon/mushroom sauce on the filete and shrimp
But we still miss Pachamama and are waiting for them to find a new location.

I live here and EAT here all the time...
La Terraza (across the street from the bank second floor)
Loreto Islas- on the malecon next to McCaws
McCaws for breakfast (not to impressed with the other fare)
El Nido is popular but the setaks at La Terraza are BETTER and they are not overpriced like at El Taste (formerley Caesars)
Tacos El Rey -HANDS DOWN the absolute BEST!!!
At night you'll only find carne de res or pork tacos (fish rarely), La Reyna- next to tiffany's Pizza, and Rigos across from Plaza Lorto Hotel
Tiffany's Pizza- the BEST pizza in town HANDS DOWN and I'm from the EAST COAST so that's a compliment. Owner is from Chicago so can make a pizza...
There's a cocina economico in col Infanovit that will make you a GREAT meal for 35 pesos. Hard to find though.
Canipole, around the corner from the Mission (Iron Gates)
The argintine restaurant is closed, man I miss Pachymama too!
Mexico Lindo- traditional Mex fare reasonable prices good people.
This is what I can come up with but I'm quite the food snob as I was in the restaurant /bar business for many years so I am critical of poor service
and food. I do however give a restaurant three tries before making a decision as to the quality. And I'm not listing all of the ones that others
have because I maintain this opinion. Hope this helps out.

Concur with the vast majority of those already shared. I would also have to ad the place (name eludes me) at Villa's Loreto. Our opinion is that
it is one of the very best consistant great eats.

The name of the restaurant at Villas de Loreto is Amore. Tell Uvaldo in the morning if there is something special you would like for dinner...and
he'll see that it is made. Lola makes a great mole, but it isn't on the menu.

Amore is the name of the restaurant in Villas and it is great. Fabulous clams a Loreto.
I also miss Pachamamma. Pam are they still around?
I have had too many bad experiences at El
Taste to ever go back there.

Pam - agree about Tiffany's Pizza
Is it still run by Denise and her husband?? She is a great gal. Does Tiffany ever come to town any more?

Pachamama
Re: Leon and Pachamama
The owners of Pachamama are in Loreto, and they are still looking for a new location. Like lots of things around here, it's just taking longer than
originally planned.

Pachamama
Thanks Don
I loved that place. They are super nice people. Let us know when they find a new location.
I am craving some of their Argentinian chorizo.
