Road Conditions - El Coyote to Mike's Sky Ranch

Looking for an update on the road conditions and passability of this route. I have a slightly lifted 4Runner with 31.6-inch BFGs and a rear locker. Thanks.

Here is a GE picture of the Baja 500 race course for El Coyote (EC) to Mike Sky Ranch (MSR). In the area around RM230 to RM240 there were a couple of hills the racers had trouble getting up due to silt beds. Since you would be going down hill your only problem would be the ruts. If you use cation and strattle the ruts you should be OK. You may want to walk them just to be sure. If a VW and a side by side can make it up you should be OK.

There is another road for some of the distance between the two also.

It's funny but that is the one the AAA map includes, and not the other that you and I prefer (I have mileages along)!
