Anyone out there in Nomadville have experience with and/or a reference to an honest reliable lawyer in La Paz to handle a Mexican will?

You don't have to pay a lawyer just for a simple will. You can draft it yourself using some commonly available boilerplate language and take it to a Notario to draft. You will have to get an official translation of it but it might save a bunch of money. The lawyer will have to take it to a Notario anyway. I guess you never know how well a will workes until after you're dead.

x2 for Gisela Talamantes - and remember that in September there is usually a 1/2 price promotional deal on wills at notario and lawyer offices.
