Off to the ocean!

Today was quite humid and uncomfortable.....we had friends over, drank beer on the porch and moaned about the heat (they just got here from Cabo and swore the temp was 10 degrees cooler here.

All of a sudden we noticed the sun was headed down so we jumped on the quad

Watched the sun set

And thoroughly enjoyed the ocean, the most perfect moment all day: Rex will not be able to walk tomorrow, he absolutely loves the waves. Unfortunately, in his happiness, he also barks incessantly. Any suggestions on how to stop this behaviour?

Yours truly in total bliss

If you look behind me, you can see Rex, unphased by the size of the waves.

great photos! I had a black lab who loved the ocean, would have to wade out to grab here when it was time to go home.

not sure how to fix Rex and his barking. have you checked pet behavior modification websites for ideas? he's just a happy boy! (why is barking a problem at your walking beach?)

Whale-ista, my mom asked the same question about the barKing....it is just incessant and annoying. Verrrrry annoying when we spend half an hour and he is barking right next to us,, non- stop.

Our dog Rex is brave. When he was little, under a year, he would swim into huge waves and both of us would fret. He was just a tiny speck in the ocean and he was happy as a clam.

We are here at the cabanas and last night the water came up to THE SECOND STEP INTO THE RESTAURANT, Right now the tide is climbing slowly.

Barking dog, well I read several yers ago, and I tried it and worked and is working.
The dog want s the owners reognicion that he want s to pass on with his barking.
When the dog barks, call his name, and say the equivalent to good dog.

It has worked for me.

Try putting something over the speedo.... Barking may stop immediately. Just kidding! Water looks like a lot of fun!

Wow! The parking lot?

Hi tides, big surf...not a good combo for some areas. We will see tomorrow in San Diego how that works out here.
