Hotels Bahia de Los Angeles

Wondering if anyone knows about the hotel in BLA? I will be camping at Daggetts, but my bro-in-law want to come and he is NOT a camper. Mauro, from Mauro's Posada, was in some sort of accident and they are closed. I heard the hotels are expensive and not very nice. Anyone stay in a cabin at Daggetts? How rough is that? Thanks!

Costa del Sol original rooms are popular. Guillermos hasn't had complaints either.

Costa Del Sol. Friendly folks, good food and really cold beer! The rooms are decent, clean, A/C works and there is hot water. What more do you need?

If you want to be close to your bro-in-law just have him stay in one of the cabins that Daggetts will rent. I have stayed there a couple times and no complaint. They are not a 5 star hotel but they are perfectly fine. If he thinks those are not good enough then consider revoking his man card

Found a cabin at Campo Archelon that might work. I have submitted photos to my sister to see if my BIL will be comfortable in such a "rustic" setting. Something tells me once he gets down there he will not want to leave. He is so used to 5 star vacations, he has forgotten what it's like to get a little dirty and experience nature.

Any ideas on where to get fresh shrimp? Any place nearby?

I have never seen shrimp for sale there but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen! The boats don't come in there like they do at San Felipe. Ask down at the ramp at Guillermo's...if not shrimp I'm sure you can rustle up something from the fishermen. (everyone wants fillets...try to get some yellowtail collars...best meat anyways!).

The only problem with Costa del Sol is she refuses to run the AC at certain times of the year. We checked out early and moved to a place that didn't do this bull crap.

Daggetts has a motel right there at the campsite. It's not bad at all....not the Holiday Inn either.
