Perhaps there will be a firsthand report.
I read of a bridge being out between Mulege and Santa Rosalia - and that there's a current (or recent) flood and road damage at k193 around Catavina.

It's remarkable (concerning) how little we've heard about the roads thus far.

road reports have been confusing...the police told me there were washouts between GN & Vizcaino and BA & Vizcaino but I got through on the
phone to Juan and he said the Proteccion Civil got through to GN yesterday...so they are changing quickly. And last night the bus lines said buses
were getting through from Ensenada to GN???? weird.
Anyone wanting to make a go of it, I would be willing to ride shotgun as I really want to get home asap to Asuncion...can be dropped off at GN or
Vizcaino.

Hi everyone,
My family and I were going to travel to Mulege tomorrow morning, however Odile changed (canceled) our plans, I just called Policia Federal Preventiva
in San Vicente, BC (686-554-2909) and was told no light traffic going thru Cataviña at this moment only big rigs; then called Santa Rosalía
(615-152-1477) and learned that between Vizcaíno and Guerrero Negro no traffic going thru due to large amounts of water flowing thru an arroyo and
road (pavement) is in very bad shape, one of the bridges at Palo Verde is down but there's a dirt trail available to drive thru. The officer at GN
told me that it is not advisable to drive north from Mulege.
Our heart goes to all of those impacted by Odile and wish a prompt recovery from all this mess and for some a big tragedy... God bless all of us...

Waiting it out before attempt at Abreojos
Looks like Polo may not pose a threat to land, but I am going to hold off until at least 9/27 to allow the locals to regroup and get their needs met
first before I try to weave my way in. I can sustain well on my own for most needs but am concerned about gasoline availability, major road passage
issues, cell service (not a must), etc. There will be a huge backlog of buses and trucks needing to keep moving that are a higher priority than my
personal needs. Please keep us updated on the critical points; road issues, gasoline (Premium if possible) availability at critical fill locations
(El Rosario, Jesus Maria, Vizcaino). The rest of the services will get remedied after those 2 critical musts are addressed... Peace and thanx in
advance to all for supplying updates...

Coupla road thoughts
1. Be careful of the gas, any of the stations that have underground tanks could have water in the gas from all the rain.
2. There's going to be a huge increase in truck traffic bringing building and food supplies south. Be extra alert.
