San Jose Airport
I want to fly into San Jose Del Cabo once the airport reopens. I am looking for information on the car rental places. Observations on which rental
place looked like it was still standing would be helpful.
Also, are Terminal One and the private terminal functioning?

Only rental company I have used, have been very impressed with them. Located across the road from terminal in the newer industrial buildings.

Frankly, all of the major rental companies are at the airport, or have shuttle service to their off-airport facilities.

Best by far- Dominic Los Cabos
We tried Dollar Rental, get ready for time share.
Dominic will have the car at the air port for you, no back and forth shuttle,
when you are done, you leave the car at the airport with a empty tank, no last minute running around looking for a gas station, then the shuttle,
worrying if you will miss your flight, includes all insurance, at a comparable price, will always use Dominic, the best. Driving down in March hoping
for the best, do not know how he is doing after the storm though. All The Best.

I have never utilized Dominic's services, so I cannot comment.
Dominic did check in with members of the Cabo Trip Advisor forum. He has been a bit busy with cleanup, but says his business is up and running. Here
is his contact information:

Spoke with Westjet yesterday. They said they are hoping to be able to resume all flights as of Sept 28th. Keeping fingers and toes crossed that my flight in Oct will not be delayed.
Remember, when in Mexico, yes may be no and no may be
maybe!

Given that the airport will not be open until October 8th...at the earliest (I have seen a couple of other dates floating out there)... It is pretty
safe to say they will not be flying in to the SJD airport on Sept. 28th, or any time before the airport is open.
I definitely don't blame them - They are trying to minimize the impact they will feel with lost reservations. On their website, they are offering to
allow customers who have reservations through October 31st, to make other plans.
Here is a short list of some other Airlines and when they have plans to start flying to the SJD airport:
Alaska Airlines – Resume flights to SJD on Nov. 2
American Airlines/US Airways – Tentatively resume flights Oct. 18
Southwest/Air Tran – Tentatively resume flights Oct. 15
Fortunately, the La Paz airport is not that far away and people can still get to Cabo in the meantime.
