Mexico is not part of coalition against the Islamic State:
http://www.excelsior.com.mx/nacional/2014/09/29/984276
======================================
MEXICO CITY, Undersecretary for North America, Sergio Alcocer Martinez de Castro, said Mexico condemns any act of nature or extremist groups, as at
the time it was with the murders of two American citizens, a citizen of the UK and in recent days, the murder of a French citizen.
When referring to the dropped information with reference to Mexico's alleged involvement in the coalition that has formed the government of the United
States to fight against the extremist group ISIS, he said:
'
'Mexico is not intended nor form part of any coalition military character to attack any group or organization. "
He said that both Mexico and the United States work, as is recorded in the statement of the Foreign Ministry on 19 September, together on the border
"to be safe, prosperous and competitive for the people of both countries and thus will continue to do ".
He said the ad as is President Enrique Peña Nieto "was referred to the missions of peacekeeping, humanitarian who are in the situation as in the case
of natural disasters."

Dennis,
Everyone knows Mexico is harboring ISIS fighters, ready to come across the border at a moments notice. The USA should invade Mexico ASAP before our
nation crumbles under the onslaught of an ISIS attack. The only thing holding Obama back from invading is the notoriously top notch Mexican Air
Force.

Neither here nor there, but Mexico has a strong Arab influence within their culture. Deny that and you deny one of the most rich and influential men
in the world, Carlos Slim Helu, born in DF of Lebanese parents.
The Muslims in Spain from the crusades era are still prominent in many family blood lines in Spain, as well as Mexico.
Now...don't you guys tell me I'm saying something I'm not saying. I'm just saying Mexico isn't so far removed from the Muslim world. That's all I'm
saying.

So here we are again, whacking the Islamic State with our superior technology, and this is just from the UK Air Force.
Yesterday the RAF destroyed two trucks operated by the IS by using four ‘fire and forget’ Brimstone missiles at a cost of £105,000 each. But the
military ‘planners’ admit that ‘the flying missions will not be the most efficient, quick, or certain, way to defeat the Isis fighters on the ground’.
Good to see our taxes being spent, heaven only knows how many US tax dollars are at work!
http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/oct/01/raf-bombers-two...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brimstone_(missile)
Meanwhile, the Iraqi’s supply the militants ‘accidentally’.

No wonder Mexico wants to stay out of it!

No better time than now to inject a bit of hateful levity:
====================================
The Iranian Ambassador to the UN had just finished giving a speech, and walked out into the lobby of the convention center where he was introduced to
a United States Marine Corps General. As they talked, the Iranian said, "I have just one question about what I have seen in America."
The General said, "Well, is there anything I can do to help?"
The Iranian whispered, "My son watches this show called 'Star Trek' and in it there is... Kirk who is Canadian, Chekhov who is Russian, Scotty who is
Scottish, Uhura who is black, and Sulu who is Japanese, but there are NO Muslims. My son is very upset and doesn't understand why there aren't any
Iranians, Iraqis, Afghans, Egyptians, Palestinians, Saudis, Syrians, or Pakistanis on 'Star Trek'.
"The General leaned toward the Iranian Ambassador, and whispered in his ear, "That's because it takes place in the future..."
Pretty gawwwdammm good, huh.

Interesting chart displaying percent GDP spent on the military per country. Mexico is 161 out of 172. Only 0.5% GDP spent on the military. Good for
Mex. Plus why should Mex get mixed up in the Middle East, it has plenty of oil......for now.
Note that the countries that spend the most money on their militaries in relation to how much they have are all in the Middle East.
IMHO, and this data implies, it's all about oil, either protecting it or getting at it.
ISIS is a threat to the oil bonanza in Iraqi Kurdistan. Oil is why there are 1000s of Americans in Erbil and why the US invaded Iraq.

Why do I have these strong feelings that the current impetus is equally, or more, about blood than oil.

You got that right Dennis. Oil is almost an aside for the Arabs, and this is not often understood in the west.
Arab culture addresses security through "balanced opposition" in which everybody is a member of a nested set of kin groups, ranging from very small to
very large. These groups are vested with responsibility for the defense of each member and responsible for harm any member does to outsiders. If there
is a confrontation, families face families, lineage faces lineage, clan faces clan, tribe faces tribe, confederacy faces confederacy, sect faces sect,
and the Islamic community faces the infidels. Deterrence lies in the balance between opponents. Any potential aggressor knows that his target is not
solitary or meager but rather, at least in principle, a formidable formation much the same size as his.
This culture pre-dates Mohammed and Islam by many years, and I personally don't see that it would ever be likely to stop.
Leave them be to continue their feuds - the oil will always flow somehow - it's the only asset they have!

When I said it's all about oil I was referring to why the US and the UK get involved in the Middle East and Mexico doesn't. If the Mid East countries
didn't have any oil, we wouldn't be there, no westerners would be getting their heads cut off, and their sectarian wars would be on the back pages.
In my opinion.

Such a comparison is Not possible, since no one in Gummint would admit that the expenditures for the Military had anything to do with oil. National
security, protecting American citizens, helping our friends in the region, YES, Oil, NO....

It's all part of the big picture plan. Oil isn't a renewable resource, so we use theirs until they run dry....then the world uses ours.
