Ateo posted the same map in the Baja News forum yesterday... looks like it is off Score's Facebook page?

Hope to see a higher quality map come out... and maybe with Gulf spelled correctly too?

SCORE has a high quality map on it's web site but it's too big to print. When you pull up the map at the top right you can click on the better map. I'm not smart enough to re-size it.

Course notes and mileage marks should be posted on or around the 12th.. When pre-running can begin..

Thanks Tom... here is the map on the web site, sized to fit on Nomad, which doesn't offer any more detail than the one you have... soooo, I zoomed in and made 7 sectional maps from it:

Edit>.. new course change map around El Rosario:

Do you like the Buena Aventura on Bahia Concepcion??? But heck, they spelled Puertecitos and Guerrero Negro correctly, so I think we can give them a pass on Golf of California and Buena Aventura!

I'm guessing N26 26 07.3 W111 38 18.0, where the road from La Purisima connects to highway 1

Using the 2012 B1K Google Earth as a ref. Check point 7 will be about 2.5 miles west of hwy 1 KM60 on the road to La Purisima. This is where the race course turns south.

2012 Check 5 shown here will be Check point 7 in the 2014 race

There you have it... Perfect answer from TW!

If I read the numbers right: N26º24.650', W111º40.050'

The nearby rancho is Canipole, and that is on most Baja maps and dates back many many years.

Before the 450 bikes became standard the KX500 and XR650 bikes on a run to La Paz averaged 60mph. Now I think they are closer to 50-55mph. If CK7 is 800 miles it will take them between 14.5 to 16 hours to get there. That would be 8:30-10pm. Have a good dinner set down and relax. Hopefully Weatherman will give you a heads up on where the first bikes are, like what went thru CK6 at San Ignacio.
