Tecate to Cabo Pulmo, East Cape - roads all good.

Hi all - A quick report here from Cabo Pulmo to let you know that we completed the drive down, crossing at Tecate on Tuesday, driving over to Ensenada, then proceeding down highway 1 to the turnoff to Los Barriles, and hence to Cabo Pulmo. We were driving a Toyota Tacoma, pulling a 17' ultralite trailer. There was no more water than usual at the Catavina crossings. The only delays due to road conditions were about 30 minutes south of Loreto before turn east, for big cliff stabilization project. And north of La Paz, for several miles where the highway is being rebuilt, so all traffic is redirected to dirt roads, moving slowly; this project evidently predated Odile. Road to Cabo Pulmo newly regraded.

Will post photos after have time to download and sort through. But as is, wouldn't have known there had been a huge hurricane, by condition of Hwy 1... except for all the green!!!!

So come on down - the main road, at least, is fine. Gas stations have gas. In La Paz, one sees blown out billboards and broken palms; cleanup still underway, but looks amazingly good.

We haven't made it to San Jose or CSL yet, so can't give report.
