driving south on Nov 10-11, race ???

Does anyone know how doable it would be driving south to LaPaz, via the San Felipe, Coco's corner , Chapala to Hwy 1 route with all the Baja 1000 going on, hoping to squeeze thru before race starts on Nov 12.......

The only issue would be from Coco's Corner to Hwy. 1 (13 miles) when you would be going backward on the race course. The race begins THU. NOV. 13, and it will be several hours before they reach Laguna Chapala. So maybe avoid that section from noon Thursday to late Friday morning?

The the rest of the peninsula will be high strung Thur. to Sat. that week, so just be careful on the roads and pull way over if you see a cloud of dust or blazing lights!

I would avoid or at least be careful of that section all week. Although the race begins on the 13th, prior to that you will have lots of pre-runners and chase vehicles. They can be more dangerous than race cars.
