All I know is that I recognize an Alaska plate! That one depicts the stampeders going over the Chilkoot pass near Skagway.
I have no idea what 'OLD FART' means, and how he got seven letters on that edition.

I am sworn to secrecy never to reveal the identity of the Chairman.

On that Alaska plate guess, AKgringo..edit to say ...correct.

Perhaps we're missing something. I can only think of a line from that great movie...The Shawshank Redemption...quote...."Or am I being too 'obtuse"?

There is a flying j along the 905 on the way to otay. Who do we know who heading south? Rig looks too clean to be northbound.
What a fun coincidence to meet a nomad like that.
Of course, there are also flying j's in Florida.

Pompano.... I don't know where the truck and trailer are from, but I am certain that the plate on the quad is the special issue, 1999 commemoration of the centennial of the Klondike gold rush! I had one on one of my cars.
It is odd that Alaska would celebrate a Canadian gold rush, but that started the stampede that helped get the territory settled.
I am pretty sure that OLD ART, bought himself an F because Alaska still only has six letters or numbers.

YES!! My mistake entirely, AKgringo. I was looking at another photo and car plate, thinking it was this one. This one is indeed Alaska. I'm going to the eye doctor tomorrow.

7 letters on a personal plate in the lower 48 is the norm, I believe. (But in truth I've never checked) I know ND allowed me 7 on my DukTruk suburban.

The photo WAS taken at a Flying J.

The trailer looks like Idaho plates. The quad plate dont look real, dont think dmv would issue an " offensive " plate, and that is a car or truck plate.

I second that is an Alaskan plate. I hated to take mind off last month, for SD one. '99 F-250 Super Duty.
Now I look like half the cars/trucks in BCS.

Alaskan plate...the 'F' was an add-on by the driver.

It was just some old fart.

I've got to go now.

Good shot! It looks like you must be parked in Stewart, British Columbia, looking at the border crossing into Hyder, Alaska.
Interesting combination of cultures and spectacular scenery!
