Current Tecate Crossing Info

I'm planning on crossing Saturday AM at Tecate and I'm wondering if anyone knows what time one can start paying for an FMM there? Are they still using the little white bank kiosk or can the immigration officer receive payment now?

Oh yeah- and what days does that ^$*^%$ motorcycle cop work?

Unless things have changed recently, you can only get a FMM Monday to Friday. You will need to cross at San Ysidro.

You mean changed after last August to not being able to get an FMM on a Saturday? You've personally tried to get an FMM on a Saturday and been told they don't issue them?

I've gotten FMMs on both Saturdays and Sundays at Tecate, my question is essentially what time does the white kiosk currently open or if the immigration officer is now empowered to take your $$$.

Reported it here on Nomad, about 2 years ago: I stopped and asked the officers in front of the building just inside the border, at Tecate... while the bank teller is not their the same hours as the border is open, the INM officer is now tasked with taking the fee for the FMM, so you can buy the thing any time the border is open (as it should be). OF course, this is MEXICO, and things change!
