Baja Dog photos......
Looks like this was a 'ho-hum' day for this old Lab.

jugando en Mulege
We were entertained by these pups on the sidewalk near Las Casitas - they played for hours on end, chasing each other, wrestling, mock combat, etc.
Great fun.

No modesty
I have noticed that Baja dogs have absolutely no modesty. This is one of 2 dogs that we found on the side of the road tied together by their back
legs. The other didnt make it. But this is Eta, our little miracle. Her full name is Julieta as our vet said that she was probably born during the
hurricane of the same name. We also liked the name, Eta, becaue when we first got her she eta everything in sight.

Genghis Khan...a Baja smoosher
This old amigo belonged to our neighbors for many years here in Coyote Bay. Genghis would come over and lay under my hammock and take a siesta with
me. He also had a great nose for the senorita/perros in the area. Went vast distances for a rendezous..once was found way over at Pta. Arena...a
distance of 12 miles by beachfront..a long pant for this old Casanova.

Great bassett hound pic, Pompano - one of the sweetest breeds around. Your mention of Ghengis' location jogged my memory. During a brief visit to
Mulege last fall, we were stolling along Playa El Burro not far to the north, and met a nice couple with their well-trained and control
collar-equipped doberman, "Cholla," who befriended us. Thought you might know them?

Pompano, that is a truly neat coincidence. We ran into Dick and Pat as we were strolling the beach at dusk and had a delightful chat. Turned out
that we had a very good friend in common, too, who runs a 105 year-old trail camp in S CA that is accessible only by foot or horse/burro. As the
years roll by, I find myself trying harder and harder to emulate my dog in so many ways (cheerful, loyal, tolerant, and more). Hasta luego and say hi
to Dick & Pat if you get the chance.

BAJA CATS, DOGS, & ANIMALS
Here's one you seldom come across. A bobcat kitten (almost grown) that was orphaned by a truck on the old road to Pta. Chivato about 15 years ago.
Known locally as a gato MontezIt was fed rabbits caught by Bill Alverado, Chivatos owner at the time. Bobcats are quite playful pets until they reach
maturity..when they become real bad hombres. Best left to nature. We called this one la Garre...the claw. Most of my scars have disappeared since
then.

My friend, Dave, from Playa Naranjos made this catch at San Sebastian. Could this be a dog snapper?

Ol Shep...God rest his soul..will retrieve no more.
Shep has made his last tennis ball retrieve. We left him on his beloved beach out front..where he romped for many years.
