Fresh water systems

I was just down last week at my house in Pta Chivato. Have a new water tank installed and tied into my house wrong but somewhat functional. I am now looking to install the pump, separator and filter myself. I want to make a cool little set up so when I head down next time, I can install it with unions for ease of install/removal. I'm basically looking at a Surflow pump 120v 60psi, separator with manual drain for the big stuff and a filter for the fine stuff. My question is, is there a place near San Diego to obtain these devices? I've found one place with a lot of cool stuff for a good price but they are on the East Coast. I prefer to buy "hands on". Muchos Gracias Nomad's....bob

Try Home Depot in Ensenada. They have all of that.

Hello Bob, Camping World has shurflow pumps but I'm guessing only the 12v DC versions. I have this same project planned and was going to power it with 12v. But if you need 60 psi that may not work for you. The filter I would get at Home Depot or Lowes. Good luck with it.

they sell one that looks simular to this one at home depot in Ensenada...I forget the price but cheaper than here

it pumps to 40 pounds
for a home system you really don't need more than that

you really don't need a BIG pressure tank
and the motor is 5 amps...
the pump part is also cast iron and doesn't "flex" and leak with temp change like some of the "better" ones

the entire thing is plug and go...
i'm moving my pumps over to these as they are working pretty well

the motor sound when running isn't all that loud like the BIG motors

I have used Sureflo, Jabsco, and Aquajet pumps, none of them lasted more than 1-1 1/2 years. Buy a Sta-Rite or another quality pump designed for a house and you will save a lot of money and time.

Bob, You should have talked to your neighbors. I have had a few filter setups and they haven't been worth the problems I encountered. I do have a Surflow 110v backup. I think it's 45 psi and is more than enough. I'll try to draw up a plan for my system for you. You can stick in a filter anywhere in front of the pump.
edit
I know this looks complicated but it works for me
