Storage

So Im planning on driving to the La Paz LV area for a little kiteboarding. Lets say I want to leave my van in storage for a spell and fly off some place and pick it up two weeks later. Where would be a good place to store a van while I go do this? Or is it better not to?

Jake.

Don't know what facilities you might find near the airport in La Paz, but there is a new Best Western at the airport in in Los Cabos that will allow you to park in their secure parking while traveling out of the area. Friends did just this a year or so ago when they flew to Belize for a couple of weeks out of Los Cabos. The BW also has a shuttle that will take you to and from the airport which is only about a quarter of a mile away.

I've stored a car with these guys for several years, no problems. They'll pick you up and drop off at the La Paz airport.

Pingo storage is located on Sonora and M. Abasolo in La Paz - storage is US 30 month but you'll need a ride to the airport

http://lapazstorage.com/index.html is more convenient but more expensive

There is one at SJD too

bring a car cover if you want to protect the car from sun and salt

X2 for la paz storage...good service and reasonable rate to store your car. They park your car under shade, and taking you to and from the airport is a BIG plus

Does anyone know how they fared during the last hurricane?

Years ago, they had a major flood there but don't recall if it was a hurricane.

X3 for La Paz Storage. I keep my boat there when I am out of town. They can meet the needs you described perfectly. They will store your car under a shelter, drop you off at the airport and pick you up if you email them before your return and let them know when you are coming back. If you desire they will even have your car washed and waiting for you on your return.

To my knowledge there was no damage during Odile
