Hami Hami
Yes. Zulema the licensed translator has a sweet little restaurant
at the front of town, just inside the arch and in front of the Rotary Dental Clinic.
The best-ever sushi is available on Saturdays.
Hami Hami is named after her two daughters, the first sylables of each girl's name.
See Facebook page Hami Hami: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100004996456920&...

so far Sushi in Baja means bad food
hard to understand with all the fresh fish around
first one in La Paz opened 14 years ago - many have been added
all of them are lousy eateries
haven't given up, keep trying the newcomers
the only thing (kinda) raw Mexicans have mastered is Ceviche
Baja exports fine Uni (sea urchin) to Japan, but nobody has it on the menu here

Yeah, isn't it amazing. Same thing over here in Sonora. No good sushi.....surrounded by fresh fish.

Mexico is all about being the quality of Mexico, not Japan, nor the tastes of people who aren't Mexican paying 5x what Mexican food costs; seafood,
land-food, or froo-food. The best sushi is in the little pueblas that the local sushi-lovers make their own, unless you're in the port-towns of Cabo,
Loreto (had it there, not bad) or places that folks that come to Baja want something that ain't Baja to whet their appetite on what they wish Baja
was.
Want fair sushi? I can make ya sum. However, I SUCK at making mole.

Zule, storage unit manager, moto racer, serves great sushi on weekends and hamburgers and hot dogs during the week. Ck the FB link above for specials.
There is also a new coffee shop and a new bar, all located at the main arch.

I agree but there are rolls on their menu that have cream cheese(could someone please tell me whose idea that was....yuck...don't you be putting no
cheese on my sushi). So if that bothers you too, be sure to ask.
Definitely the best sushi in Los Cabos.

Yeah, the whole cream cheese thing is mystifying.
I suspect it is just an economical filler that allows them to reduce the amount of actual seafood in the maki or temaki.
But it's surprising how often the fish is actually cooked in the sushi I see down here. I've even had oyster sushi where they used the smoked, canned
oysters.

So...to get to Zulema's new Sushi place, Hami Hami, one goes thru the town arch and it's just to the left. Easy-peasy.
Good luck, Zulema. (Hint: Today's sushi can be tomorrow's lutefisk.)
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

I abhor the limelight... PTSD, like my sanity in small dark corners. My point is, local fisher-persons make the BEST sushi in Baja, bar-none.
Spend a couple weeks at San Lucas Cove for yellowtail every which way it can be prepared; best smoked, sushi'd, sashimi'd, tekamaki'd, snack-ied and
just plain eaten raw for fun..........
Side note, lived in a VERY remote town of 300 in the 4-corners area........ potlucks were fabulous because most there were exceptional cooks from
different backgrounds. Same-same Baja... the eatin's are best by the local constabulary adding their own special touch to the digs. May not be
'Hokkaido Fare' quality, but if you ask, you may get 'em to omit the cream cheese....... *grin*
