Sealing Saltillo tile
What is a good, non-toxic seal for Saltillo floor tile?
Thanks.

Stealing it is easier and you don't need to do it again unless you didn't get enough the first time

Like others have said, nothing lasts forever. We have a lot of saltillo tile here at our place so what we do is buy 5 gallon buckets of industrial
floor wax at Costco. After waxing the floors to seal them, all we do is sweep and wet mop the floors weekly with the wax diluted about 5:1.
Floors always look great...

Some saltillo tiles come "raw" while others are pre-sealed, My kitchen ones are pre-sealed , and I go to the tile store and ask them what to use for
the type of tile I have....and don't use it often enough.
I don't know what sealant I have at the moment (at work).
Don't believe everything you think....

Thanks for the replays. I'll go from there.
And I never said stealing, only sealing.

we use aqua mix. They have low sheen and high gloss water based sealers. I recoat about once a year when the gloss starts to go away.

to me that's not a sealer but a coating...
they sell stuff like that here too
sealers are like water...I always think I got ripped off : )
but it seeps into the cement or brick and seals it without coating
it like paint
the color does change a little

Old scool way is to seal with linseed oil or linseed oil + kerosene, then wax occasionally.

We started using Mop and Glo and it works very well, and leaves them with a satin shine.

....if you want a permanent seal,,try using an epoxy sealant.
Epoxy Sealant such as West System, available at fiberglass repair supply outlets or marine stores would be the fix on virgin tile,,though I'd suggest
it's too late once any other sealers or waxes have been applied.

the Smart and Final Stores here in Ensenada sell Super-Crilic in 1 gal. cans that looks terrific and holds up against anything you can do to it such
as dragging heavy furniture across it. Just apply with a mop.

I saw it, too. I run with a very bad
crowd.
Here's a related question: Our shower is made of rocks.
The water here is so hard/high in minerals that there's a build-up and discoloration I can't scrub off with mineral deposit remover from Home Depot.
What can I do short of sand-blasting my bathroom?
and don't anybody say dynamite (I've thot of it, not tried it).
