Buying a fridge in La Paz

Any recommendations for a place to buy a fridge in La Paz? So many options these days! Any brand recommends for a small 10 cu ft model? Thanks.

We bought a LG, Model GM R497C, in La Paz on 11=2010. Bought at ITCSA, located at Bravo #615 esq, Altamirano. Tel# 612 125-5566

Price was 5,439 pesos and they delivered it to Cabo Pulmo for 500 pesos.

We had just bought a washing machine at Costco and the same model was within 50 pesos at this store, too. Thus we believe they had very good pricing.

We have had zero problems with this fridge and we are off the grid.

Like Everywhere. Sam's Club, Home Depot, Walmart, Chedraui, Mega, Sears, City Club, and several appliance stores.

Most choose to stay away from Mabe (maybe it work, maybe it don't). I have had the best luck with the LG units. The one in my house is over 10 years old and as good as new even with the brownouts and other electrical problems.

Also check Coppel's website. They have terrific buys on fridges and A/C's at times, sometimes for very limited time.
We bought a stainless GE 26 cubic feet fridge with all the trimmings last fall for under $ 800.00. Sells in the US on sale for around $ 1400.00.

It's just a small 10cf fridge, what "options"?

Check online reviews if you find them for your chosen model. Mex stores tend to sell different models than in the US, so reviews might be hard to find.

Some (many!) small fridges have uneven temperature distribution, with items freezing at the back wall and staying too warm near the door. Some have noise problem, running too loud and/or with whistling and knocking sound, this may happen with bigger fridges too. I would make sure the store isn't too far and that they allow at least few weeks return policy.
