The Guerreros soccer team goes to San Ignacio

We all met up at 6:30 and it was just beginning to get light out. Only one kid was late and we were off at 6:45, all piled into three vehicles. We arrived at 8:30 and the other team arrived at 9 am.

HERE WE ARE - THE GUERRERO'S (WARRIORS)

I had each group of soccer players do a 5 minute clean-up. We filled 2 whole construction sized black garbage bags that were donated last year. Today was about soccer but I just love combining litter awareness:

HERE THEY ARE DOING WARM-UPS:

HERE IS THE SAN IGNACIO TEAM:

HERE THEY ARE DOING THEIR 5 MINUTE CLEAN UP:

THEN THE LADIES ARRIVED IN THEIR VAN - I AM GOING TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THIS VAN - APPARENTLY IT CAN BE RENTED OUT AT 500 PESOS.....I WILL BE NEGOTIATING HARD ON THIS!

THE LADIES CLEANED TOO BUT I FORGOT TO LOAD THAT PIC ONTO POHOTOBUCKET.....BUT THEY DID IT!

HERE ARE THE LADIES, ALL SUITED UP WITH THE BOYS' SHIRTS,GLOVES ETC. TO THE FAR LEFT IS THE PRINCIPAL OF OUR HIGH SCHOOL, WHO DROVE THEM OVER IN THE MINI BUS. THEY HAVE UNIFORMS ORDERED AND ON THE WAY - THEY WILL BE CALLED THE COYOTES. IT WAS ALSO DECIDED THAT ANOTHER SCHOOL BOYS' SOCCER TEAM WILL BE CREATED SINCE THERE ARE 15 MORE KIDS WHO WANT TO PLAY....OUR GOAL IS TO GET AS CLOSE TO 100% OF THE STUDENTS INVOLVED AS IS POSSIBLE.

THE GIRLS WATCHED THE BOYS PLAY. THEN THE BOYS WATCHED THE GIRLS PLAY. (LOST BOTH GAMES).

THEN WE ALL WENT FOR A LUNCH THAT THE MOM OF THE BOYS SOCCER TEAM HAD PREPARED WITH THE FOOD I BOUGHT. OF COURSE, THIS IS BAJA SO WE HAD TO HAVE ANADVENTURE!

THE PRINCIPAL GOT STUCK IN THE VERY SOFT SAND. IT WAS LOOKING BAD UNTIL THE RANCHER CAME OUT AND HAD HER UNSTUCK IN LESS THAN 15 MINUTES.

WHAT WAS MY ADVICE? FROM BAJANOMAD INFO I KEPT SAYING - AIR DOWN AIR DOWN AIR DOWN MORE!

WE HAD BBQCHICKEN TACOS WITH GUACAMOLE AND IT WAS REALLY DELICIOUS. THE PARENTS ARE AWESOME FOLKS WHO REALLY SUPPORT THE TEAM ALL THEY CAN:

FROM LUNCH THE KIDS WANTED TO GO TO THE SQUARE IN SAN IGNACIO. SO WE WENT AND HAD SOME ICE CREAM AND SAT UNDER THE TREES FOR HALF AN HOUR. THEN WE LEFT FOR HOME MAKING FOR A 12 HOUR DAY!!!!

I WALKED IN ZONKED. ANOTHER HAPPY DAY IN OUR PARADISE!

SOME OF YOU HAVE GIVEN CASH DONATIONS AND ONE OF YOU HAS DONATED BALLS, CONES, WHISTLES AND MORE. THANKS FRIENDS - GOD BLESS ALL OF US ~ TOGETHER WE MAKE THIS WORLD A PRETTY COOL PLACE.
