Proper Pronunciation of Ligui

Can anyone describe the correct pronunciation for "Ligui" ?

Is it "Li-goo-wee", or Lig wee"?

No maps, please.....just linguistic help requested

At first I thought of the g as being always being silent in Spanish, as in
guacamole, but the g in gato is hard. I may have been incorrect
with the pronunciation as lee-wee

It's H that is often silent - usually at the beginning of word. Though sometimes they pronounce it even at the beginning of words, like Hotel or Huevos.

G is rarely "silent". But sometimes it's soft. In Ga..., as well as in Go... or Gu... it is usually hard. In Ge... and Gi... it is soft like H.

Ligui

John,,where are you ? the only local gringo there !! with one of the most awesome Baja coast views I"ve seen from a house in Baja !! any how the "g" is sometimes soft and that's not written in stone...I can read, but writing is not my strong point,,here goes,,,,,,La ge is what I hear after camping in that area after 35 winters...or some thing close to that..the LI comes accross sometimes as La/Lee/Laa and the last is ge in English,,almost as key, with more G
