San Felipe camping
We are heading down to San Felipe next weekend for some business and when we are done we have a couple days to play around. we usually go to Gonzaga /
Punta final on our short trips to Baja but don't want to go that far this trip any recommendations for places to camp between San Felipe and
Puertecitos. I know its gonna be hot Just looking for something with quick easy in and out.

Pete's camp, down at the end of the road by the lighthouse, or Club De Pesca down the same street as El Cortez motel.
I think both have a web site.

Well, how about giving us some more data to better assist?
2WD or 4WD?
Need Facilities or 'Dry Camping'?
Campground or remote?
Beach or Desert?

Petes Camp is north of town,, as you come into SF its on the left side of the HWY
thats my pick,, stay right on the beach with a little palapa,
restaurant, bar, showers,, close to town, and other places near by

Udo, any guestimate to nightly rates now? Just curious, haven't camped above Puertecitos in over 25 years. Just palapa, right? No electric,
etc..... just sand and surf?
I don't have a BUCKET LIST, but I do have a F***- IT LIST a mile long!

Yes, they do have hook-ups, dry camping, and palapa as well as second-story camping.
If that is not enough, they also have a small motel on site.
I think that should answer your question, buddy buddha.
I forgot to mention, they have regaderas, WCs food and a great bar.

My sincerest apologies to my buddy buddha and BajaDanD.
My last description was meant to be that of Ruben's camp, which serves their famous "COCOLOCOS".
Before anything else, this is my first stop when getting into San Felipe, and they are the ones who have the dry and wet camping, full hook-ups,
beachfront camping,a restaurant and their famous bar, plus they have the small motel.
As far as their rates are concerned: I don't remember at this time. Last time I stayed there was in their motel and It was $20.00/night. Their dry
camping was $10.00/night (USD).

Sounds right-on the-money, Udo. $20/palapa/night, some more, some less. Expect that to rise not too slowly over the next year with the new road.
The 'good restaurants and bars' are extra, as we well know... the U.S. slowly creeps southward. So do the menu and beer prices.

Aaron at Rubens is quite a character. If it's any kind of holiday stay away, it's noisy as heck and lights on all night. But very quiet otherwise.
Aaron all ways has a project going on and he will share anything hes got.

sorry I figured easy in easy out was enough info Thanks for the info 2wd is all I have these days  dry camping on the beach is what I'm looking for that is secure enough to leave our campsite to go into town to eat
and stuff Rubens or Club De Pesca will work

you won't have to or won't want to leave your camp at Pete's Camp. The restaurant is one of the better ones in SF and the bar IS THE BEST. Try the
Michiladas. They have two kinds of margaritas, the skinny one is the traditional old Mexican style and the new one is larger by far and has fruit
juice in it.. Large variety of bottled beer on hand and their breakfasts are very good. Also, two women arrive at about 10 am to sell homemade
burritos and other dishes at give-away prices. I think I paid about 20 pesos per burrito. One day they had birria, very good! You just take it back
to your rig. Also, Pete's has kareoke on weekends and sometimes a group plays. Not a quiet place but lots of fun and great people. Clamming is big
there, too, and sometimes a panga comes right up to the launch ramp and you can buy shrimp that are still alive. Nothing like fresh SF shrimp!

Pete's camp restaurant closed
When we were in SF a couple of weeks ago they said that the restaurant was closing July 4th - for the remaining summer months. Bar will be open - and
welcoming.
Camping has the palapas on the shore but no hook ups of any kind.

As of last Friday nite she(Norma N.) is not sure as yet about when she will close for summer months? She will be letting us know when she decides as
we go there every Friday nite.
