Punta Chivato Sunrise & Conditions
I've been asked about conditions since Dolores' passing. She brought some wind and rough water but no rain. Yesterday afternoon some local clouds
built up over the sierras and that influenced a cooling last night I believe. 78º at 7am calm and some beautiful clouds.

Baja looks so inviting!!!
Been thunder and bolts of lightning, then rain this morning. The action began about 6:30 am here in San Marcos. Still raining an hour later.
After the wettest May in ages, this is rapidly becoming the wettest drought in recent history!

Maybe in San Diego County but not the rest of the state. I wish some of that rain had hit a bit further north. Up here on the Central Coast it is
bone dry. We went over one of the back country roads (High Mtn Rd) a couple of weeks ago and where it crosses the beginning of the Salinas River the
crossing was dry which I haven't seen in the 40 or so years that I have been around here. Fingers crossed for a wet winter.

It is raining again here Kurt... at 10:30+ the second wave from Dolores hit. The first was lighting filled beginning at 6:30 and lasting 2 hours.
Riverside County is reporting rain too... Maybe it will put out that fire in the Cajon Pass that wrecked so many vehicles yesterday heading for Vegas?
