Mainland Mexico group like Baja Nomad?

Hello...
After visiting Baja exclusively for many years, we are interested in exploring some of the mainland. We will be a group of two or three vehicles and are looking for a caravan to join up with. Dates are very flexible at this point. I'm wondering if anyone here knows of a similar group for the mainland where we might meet some like-minded folks to travel south with. I'm not interested in a commercial tour, just a few more folks to band together with for safety on that tricky coast. We're headed to at least below Puerto Vallarta/Manzanillo. Thanks for your thoughts!

Check out 'Vagabundos del Mar'.

I have not been a member since 1986, so I cannot vouch for them in this internet age. It was a source of information and support for my parents for years!

If you ever get to Columbus, NM and the little border town of Palomas MX there's a large restaurant/curio store they call "The Pink Store", and at the main counter are sign-up sheets for convoy/caravan trips into the interior, and primarily the Copper Canyon gig. They leave every couple of weeks. Nice State Park campground in Columbus.

Groups "like Baja Nomad"?

You are traveling. Other than a few short-lasting tourists, BN don't travel much, though most of them drive back and forth between Baja and NOB home, same route, few times a year. People in San Felipe corridor or Ensenada-Rosarito migrate more often.

A forum similar to BN, in Guadalachara area: http://www.chapala.com/wwwboard/webboard.html

These two are wider geographically:

Must be a few dozen other groups, smaller, with less web traffic.
