AGUA DULCE Historic Spring (Baja Bound Article)
Baja Bound's August newsletter was just released...
Here is an article on Agua Dulce, the water hole on El Camino Real, near Highway One's Km. 160, between the El Marmol road and Cataviña.

The water sources along the mission road make a good study. Howard Gulick's 1954 El Camino Real Map does a good job listing them (Loreto to El
Rosario).
Discovered by Padre Wenceslao Linck in 1766, exploring north from San Borja, modern map with 1966 expedition route. The name "Agua Dulce" was first
provided by Padre Junípero Serra in his notes traveling from Loreto to San Diego, in 1769:
