We are off grid and went through the same thing when shopping for a range. Almost all ranges sold in the U.S. have switched to a glow bar instead of
a spark type igniter or a pilot light for the oven. The glow bar uses TONS of power. It stays on or cycles the entire time the oven is active.
Ranges sold in Mexico don't have the glow bar and still use the spark igniters, plus they're already jetted for propane.
If you disable the glow bar, the oven will not light. I believe it would be dangerous to disconnect because the gas/flame may not be regulated
properly without it. I think your only option is to either increase your solar capacity to account for the stove, or sell it to someone who's not off
grid and find one with a spark igniter.
In the U.S., the only affordable range we could find that had a spark igniter was called Premiere:
Premier Ranges
It's a bit pricy for what you get, but better quality than anything we could find in Mexico.

I recently bought a usa stove...imported it and hauled it down in the car
wer converted it to propane here (all new usa stoves come with the conversion kit)
it too has the glow bar but it goes off when the stove lights
something could be wrong with your temp unit
I love the thing...no more having to watch the temp in the stove part
the lower end Mexican stoves do not come with a thermostat...
you have to pay a grand or more for the thermostat kind of stove
this usa stove was $350 out the door at lowes
new stuff is just better than the old stuff

Try contacting the stove manufacturer and explain your problem

that's exactly what i would do...
in fact that's how i KNOW that all natural gas stoves come with a propane conversion kit
i called the manufacturer after one store told me i had to BUY the conversion kit from them...i didn't buy the stove from that store after i found out
the truth
call the manufacturer...good idea
