TUNA BONANZA IN BAHIA ASUNCION!!!! all week long!!

yesterday we saw a school of dolphin close to Asuncion Island and thought there might be tuna with them...and we were right! Today Capt. Juan Arce Marron put his clients Joe Jones and Hutch from San Felipe on a mess of nice tuna in the 20-30lb range and yellowtail less than 2 miles from shore!
What a week so far...wahoo AND tuna! Better get down here Woody!

the yellowtail are starting to put the pounds on now too!

The storm Kevin sure was a non event here in Asuncion...no wind, no rain and only yucky heat and about an 8'swell this morning which made yesterday's fishing a bit rough because of all the seaweed in the water to interfere with trolling.

But Jim Baumgart from TJ managed to get his limit of real nice fat tuna anyway and some yellowtail to make his first trip to Asuncion complete!

Capt. Juan was happy that the tuna stuck around all week and they werent just passing through! Today's fishing was postponed today due to big swell made it too risky to put the boat in...yesterday the tractor pulled Sirena to high ground.
