Taxis in Cabo for group of 9?

I know this isn't the usual request for advice on how to pack my donkey for a 10 week excursion around the coast, or asking David for the map to the top 10 surf spots that no one knows about...

We're taking the family on a Disney cruise from San Diego to Cabo and having been there before, know that I would prefer to spend the day at Bahia Chilleno just relaxing, snorkeling, and drinking some cervezas.

Any ideas on easiest and cheapest way to get 9 of us (ages ranging from 7-70), from the port area where the cruise ship tenders drop us to the beach at Chilleno? We need to be back onboard by 3pm or there will be a new post on here helping to locate us and get us back to the US.

I've contacted some of the airport taxi companies and have been quoted $138 - $200 for the round trip. Would grabbing a taxi-van by the port be cheaper?

Thanks all! Now get back to wishing David a Happy Birthday...

Brian - yes Taxis are 9/10 Passenger Vans, and are available 24/7/365 from the area of the marina where your tender drops you off. You will have no difficulty getting a return ride either.

Cant quote an accurate price because the transportation union is controlled, by the govt., thus can change when the wind changes direction. My guess-estimate is $30-$40 each way. It may be a negotiable amount and it also may be different coming or going.

Enjoy chilling at Chileno and your family Disney Magic! Hope this helps. Lori G

I agree with Cabo Magic / Lori. The most important thing you have to know is the fact that Taxi in CSL are not only controlled but also organized by a Taxi clan and they are brutally corrupt and rude. You can ask for the fair upfront, but donīt be surprised when being told that there are additional payments to pay nobody told you before.
