Baja 1000 traffic ?

Looking to head down around the 15th of November heading to Cabo Pulmo and wonder what the impact of the Baja 1000 will be as far as traffic. Driving a 35' class A with a toad and like as little traffic as I can find. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

The race is Nov. 20. That day and the next it will be busy... the 2 days before the race, Ensenada will be busy.

Where it will be busy is only down to a point a few miles north of the Bahia de los Angeles junction, where the course comes out from the Pacific coast, goes north to Laguna Chapala and then to Gonzaga, San Felipe and back to Ensenada. The map is posted in the Off Roading forum here on Nomad.

So Nov. 18-21 would be days to avoid northern Baja if you don't want to be part of the thrill of off road racing!
