Nomads haul in the fish in Bahia Asuncion this week
It's been a fun week with Nomads Baja Gypsies here to play with at the beach, boogie board and fish with...but alas they are on their way back up to
sunny Saskatchewan!
Baja Lunas were also in town for a few days and loved the new eatery in town Blady's palapa where we gather on Sundays.
and these Nomads had a couple great days on the water with Capt. Juan Arce Marron slaying tuna, yellowtail, calico and sheepshead.
afternoon winds have been unusually high for this time of year and today there is a 9' swell too which has made today's anglers
The wahoo are more scarce but are being caught...Robin from Chivato hooked this one casting for calico on a salas 6X jig!!!!

You can definitely expect the unexpected round these parts. I caught the first yellow fin tuna off my kayak last week. Also fishing for calico in 100
ft of water off Isla Asuncion. A little guy but definitely a surprise.

I was out at Isla San Roque on Sunday and was reading 77.4. I'll be out again tomorrow and will update this thread. I suspect it has dropped 2 or 3
degrees.

there is hardly any kelp now after 2 years of overly warm water...robin was just casting in a spot Juan knows there are fish. We have had some knarly
afternoon winds this week which has churned up the water and cooled it down a bit from the 80 degrees it has been for months...which is good news for
the yellowtail fishermen as they are getting to be a nice size now.
this is the rapala that is getting all the action right now...the bonita type as well as the sardine colour.

Still reading 76.6 degrees at Isla San Roque this morning. Less than a 1 degree drop since last Sunday. That surprised me.
