The article seems to imply this applies to the 4 people in a club who sued for the right to grow within the SMART association though is could be
extended to others.

It looks to me like it opened the door to 5 people to possess 5 grams each, but no legal way to procure it beyond growing 1) 5 gram plant.

It's a start. The vast majority of narco-trafficking is pot. Yes, I know the cartels will keep moving other drugs, but if pot is taken out of the
equation there can be more resources directed at importation of pseudoephedrine, ether, and other chemicals used in the process of meth and cocaine.
We learned nothing from Al Capone; the people are going to want it (people still want abstinence from alcohol too), and they're going to do it. Just
a matter of time; the reasoning is there, the wheels move much too slowly.
I don't have a BUCKET LIST, but I do have a F***- IT LIST a mile long!

I've realized that I am for legalization of pot, and for the prohibition of smoking it. The smoke sucks.

Your words speak true, Kemosabe (other than the prohibition-part). Am sipping my 5-o'clock martini, and thinking "this is an acquired taste". Have
concocted many a froo-froo drink bartending for others. Ain't for everybody, but hey, to each his own. In The Olden Daze was a different story; now
it just makes me stoopud(er). "No no no no, I don't smoke it no mo'.... I wind up ending up on de flo'".
However logic says it eventually must, and will be so. It ain't so bad, really; some still think "Reefer Madness" is an incredible documentary; I
still have it on VCR (now transposed to a CD). There are still McCarthy-ists crying "COMMIES!", but eventually and hopefully common sense will
prevail.
Or not.

I don't think the cop on the radio was a cartel guy; just an intelligent man to me. It's the stigma; booze is ok, pot is not. Same with the old
McCarthyism-type persecutions, just can't remember the guy in the 20's and early 30's that started the whole hub-bub. Herb is not ok, tobacco is one
of the largest lobbies in our gov't. And, where John Daniels is made, is a dry County.
Go figger.

Legal weed is coming. The 100 year drug war is a failure. Personally, MJ makes me a little anxious and uncomfortable. But it helps others, and is
WAY safer than alcohol. Legalize and tax it.
Can't sleep? Stop taking ambien and other sleep aids and eat an edible marijuana treat. Your azz will be asleep in 45 minutes.
We've been doing things backwards for too long. Once this gets legalized (as it has in other USA states) in California and the money starts flowing
in, the dominoes will fall fast.

When it gets here, we'll see the greatest display of capitalism offered in some time.......competition to drive prices to the lowest consumer level.
My money will be on the cartels to prevail. They won't be hindered by tax considerations.
