Atv Dunes riding
Hi to everybody. New on this forum. I do have Q. Any good dunes riding between Tijuana and San Quintin ? This year I'm plan trip to this area. Last
three years I spend December around San Felipe. This year I like to try ocean side.

You might try San Antonio del Mar, due west of the town of Colonet. There are dunes (not vast, but certainly fun) and I believe you can camp there
for a nominal fee. It's on the AAA map.

South of San Quintin are some good sand hills. Be careful because some have a steep dropoff on the ocean side. There may be more along the coast south
of KM30 or 35, worth a drive to see.

Also if you get down to Guerrero Negro there are sand dunes. They're not big hills like Glamis, but it's sand. Also at Jesus Maria north of GN go out
to Laguna Manuela for some sand trails and a 13 mile sand beach to the north. Take a fishing rod and reel and a little squid with you.

As indicated the ones just west of San Quintin are smaller, but much fun...but do explore slow before you open it up or you will be sorry related to
drops. ~5-10 miles further south West of 1 is lots of sand and a few dunes..Do not head over the top without looking here...you won't be sorry, only
dead! Drops off near cliff for 100' or better
When searching for the end of your rainbow you only have until dusk....

Yah, I had a Honda ATC 110 that was a lot of fun, and I took it to San Antonio Del Mar (1980) and rode the big dunes and drove miles down the beach
toward Cabo Colonet (Punta Colnett) where I found a bottle with a message from Nat'l Geographic in it!

The first set you come to in in Cantamar Just below Rosarito. There not very big but a lot of fun. You can camp on the south end or go into town and I
think you can camp right in town next to the dunes..
Second ones I know of is San Antonio Del Mar. Just as you get into Colonet you turn Right at the church on the small hill It;s 7 miles out to the
dunes. You can camp there for about ten bucks a night a man will come around and collect it. The dunes there are bigger and you can ride on the beach
for miles. or ride into town. There are some small dunes south of San Quintin by Cielito Lindo. Small but sometimes good clamming there. The ones
farther south are by El Socorro I'm not sure about the camping but I see many people riding there. Have Fun
