Classic Mike McMahan Baja Map

Mike had his famous 5 ft. tall wall map also made as a postcard 9.25" x 5.5" using the same DuPont Tyvek material. The above is a scan of one of the postcards. It is the 1972 edition of the map. (Pavement ended northbound at Santa Rosalía)

I need one of those 5 ft tall maps to plan an epic ride. It would look great hanging on the wall.

Now there's a map that's also a work of art.

Looks like there were the following editions:
1967: First Edition, black and white, Gulick map, very accurate
1967: Second Edition, color version of first edition
1972: Third Edition, McMahan map (same as image at top of this thread)
1974: Revised Third Edition with new highways added it (not accurately)
1981: Fourth Edition, nice decorative map, not all accurate but improved over the '74 edition.
1991: Fifth Edition, new peninsula graded roads added.
I have them all now except the Second Edition, which I did have back when it was new.

We had that map and a couple of others in our home in BA. When we left, we gave them to some local friends and they really appreciated it as they love their homeland and could not afford to buy these maps.

We also left other Baja related items-- old photos, new photos, books, etc. Some people might want to do the same thing as it is much appreciated.

Is it rolled up or on the hard-board backing?
There is a classified ads forum for selling stuff if you want to post a price and contact info.

Very nice.
The 250 limit is only if you use Nomad to host the photos (attachments). You can post larger size (up to 800 pixels wide) without a file-size limit (no kb reduction for best quality) by hotlinking from a photo hosting site. www.postimages.org is very easy. You only need to change one setting, the size... to 800 pixels or less.
