Yellow tail putting on the pounds in Bahia Asuncion

the ocean temps are cooling a bit, now down to about 74-75 and the wahoo are scarce but there are still some tuna around. Most of our guests fished for yellowtail this week as they are getting nice and fat now with many 30 pound fish being caught jigging. Lots of sashimi plates have been consumed this month! Here are some samples from this week...

The weather has been beautiful with not much wind or swell. Our fly-in group loaded up two planes with fish they caught over 3 days including, tuna, dorado, sierra, grouper, sand bass, calico, white fish, bonita, skipjack and lots of nice size yellowtail...those planes took the whole runway to finally get off the ground!

Keykos restaurant did a bang up job of preparing their fish 3 different ways!

and here is Nomad DanD with his prize wahoo!

Shore fishing continues to be great with corvina, corbina and halibut are now moving in too. A kid caught a dorado off the rocks in front of our Bufadora Inn a few days ago which was pretty neat!

while I have your undivided attention, I would like to thank Rossman who invited me to share Thanksgiving dinner with his kayak group from Big Water's Edge who fished here all week. Jeff prepared an outstanding spread and it was great to eat someone elses cooking!!!

another great time at Udo's place
