Mexico-US accord lifts airline restrictions

Hopefully, this will result in more flights to/from La Paz!

Carriers can choose the routes and the frequency they wish.

More frequent flights are expected as a result, and lower fares are also possible.

Mexico’s carriers have a fleet of 300 planes. U.S. carriers have 7,500.

This spring I'm flying to La Paz for the Sur 500 - the lifted airline restrictions could be a good thing.

Perhaps the now open cross border express at the TJ airport contributed to this agreement? US cariers flying out of TJ?
