Coyote Cal's
Has anyone stayed at Coyote Cal's in Erindera lately? We are a group of 7-10 off road riders (all with 40+ years of Baja experience), looking for
good accommodations in the area. Thanks.

Great place, you'll have fun! Last summer he accomadated us last minute, we were a group of 30 dudes on a baja bachelor party trip. Totally hooked us
up! He even got a mechanic to come out for us for one of the rigs we broke on the way down.

Coyote Cal's
I'll second Bajavanadu's recommendation!
Great place. Rick is a great host. You'll completely enjoy it. I think Cal's is best with a large group.

Let them know when you will be there so they can have plenty of fresh food, etc. fresh fish is always good, there is a great selection of tequilas
and the rest of the bar is fully stocked.

Where is the seafood place?
Last year, we got into Erindera late, had to stay at the Erindera hotel (?), not Cal's, and town was closed up for the night. Had soggy cookies for
dinner, but that's Baja on a dirt bike, sometimes. This time we're going to EAT! Thanks guys.
Also (this probably belongs in the off-road section, but now that I have everybody's attention here) is it possible to stay on the dirt from Erindera
or San Vicente to San Quintin? We have some younger (15-16) year-old riders with us this year, they've been riding Baja for ten years, but Dads still
worry.

Yes it is possible to stay on the "dirt" - for the most part. You will need to pop-out on the highway at Camalu, take it south a few miles, and then
head back to the coast. Your dirt ride will turn into a sand ride as you head south down the beach. You need to check the tide tables before heading
on this route, and if the tide permits, remember to wash down your bike as soon as you reach your destination in SQ - the salt corrosion is a killer.

Thanks Enrique;
Sounds like a fun route. I've checked it out in the Baja Almanac, but it's good to have first hand knowledge. We'll give it a try. You are right
about the salt water. We have a home in San Felipe, the kids used to ride their quads into the water, we had to do a frame up resto just to repair
the corrosion. Now, we don't even ride in wet sand.

Not sure the timing would work out. Riding with you all day on the 18th and staying in San Vicente that night. On the 19th we were going to Erindira
then to Santo Tomas-Ojos Negros and back to Santa Veronica. Any suggestions?
