Ride offered from Vancouver to Baja Sur February 18
I am posting this for a good friend who is heading down here to Inn sit for us in March. He would be a great guy to ride with...very interesting,
intelligent fellow and real easy going....here is his pitch!
Im driving from Vancouver to Bahia Asuncion, Baja California Sur, departing
February 18th. Looking for a co-driver to share the driving straight through
to get to the Cardiff area of So Cal by the 22nd. Will be attending the one
day Ocean Therapy Program with Carly Rogers, at Camp Pendleton with men and women combat survivors in a surfing session. See link below for more info.
Then heading to Ojo de Libre, whale calving lagoon just below Guerrero Negro
for several days to help out with a Whale watching tour company, run by
former Tofino Resident, Shari Bondy at Whale Magic.Final destination is
Bahia Asuncion, La Bufadora Inn. Where there is surfing and more. I am
managing the Inn and working on a new surfing and adaptive sports
Instruction program there for people with disabilities Looking for the right person to share the driving and is both capable and easy to get along
with. And who might find this sort of experience interesting and rewarding for their career as a water person and surfing instructor. I am the former
founder of the Baja Surf Club 1984-1996, who helped bring windsurfing and kiting to Los Barriles and La Ventana., and I used to live in Hood River
Oregon. This is a new venture with a different theme.
Please spread the word among your friends. It could be an inexpensive way for one of them to have a great experience in Baja for a week or two. There
are one way flights back to Vancouver for just $275 US when they are ready to return. Accommodation in the van or camping would be free as long as
they help out while down there for week or so.
The Van can be set up for some privacy too, as I have a separate tent they can use and an outdoor awning porch while camping.

A thought on the 'help me drive' comment. How does a rider ask to be put on his Mexican car insurance policy when he is accepting a "free ride"?
I'd hate to get in an accident while "free driving" someones car and not be covered because I wasn't an "additional named driver" and end up in jail
& maybe have to foot the cost of the repairs of both cars if it were my fault??? (this is while driving in Baja) IN the U.S. most policies cover
unknown incidental drivers. At least for the first accident anyway. Just wonderin'.
