Tecate

Hey there I went through TJ last year and Im thinking of trying Tecate this year. If I pass through on a Sunday, are there any pitfalls? Can I still get my FMM card?

Yes...there is the pitfall of having a fairly relaxed drive down through the Guadalupe Valley and stopping for wine tastings.

You are on the brink of making a wise choice: just don't tell anyone.

No problem getting your FMM card on a Sunday. It's just on your right as you cross the border.

...another pitfall...: before leaving Tecate you may just want to try tacos "Los Amigos", as soon as you leave Mexican Customs drive to the first stoplight then turn left and drive one block to the stop sign, turn right and go down the hill to the second stoplight (this is the shortest way south out of town) past the plaza: on your left hand side across the street from mcdonald's there it is...!!! this one is my favorite but its hard to park. If you drive straight on south past the ball stadium crossing the RR tracks, right on the hill just before the pedestrian overpass on the right hand side with off street parking there's another "Los Amigos"... try these tacos... mmmm... mm... m...!!! the best!!!! I like the carne asada burritos or the corn tortilla tacos....;D  :tumble:

...work to camp and fish.... dream to be there....

Beware of the cops sending you through the 100 meter drive detour from Mex 3. The toll people will charge you full price for that short drive.

This is due to the construction in Tecate.
