if you start questioning yourself or your country's actions, you'll have disturbing times ahead. Why do you think, so many soldiers kill themselves?
It is so much easier to push all of it aside, go party and buy a new car. So much easier to blame someone else, so much easier to doubt that the news is even true.

If your really interested in the truth you need to move beyond the US news media, and expand your sources to the rest of the worlds news. All of the major players in the world will have quite a different perspective on world events and their causes. This would include German, French, British, and especially Russian sources. All the major international newspapers are online and free.

I agree that it is always a good idea to expand your sources. There is a lot out there and it can be a challenge. I tend to stop short when it comes to what i take as truth from MOST Russian media sources. Interesting reading at the link below.

"The organisation Reporters Without Borders compiles and publishes an annual ranking of countries based upon the organisation's assessment of their press freedom records. In 2013 Russia was ranked 148th out of 179 countries, six places below the previous year, mainly due to the return of Vladimir Putin.[4] Freedom House compiles a similar ranking and placed Russia at number 176 out of 197 countries for press freedom for 2013, putting it level with Sudan and Ethiopia.[5] The Committee to Protect Journalists states that Russia was the country with the 10th largest number of journalists killed since 1992, 26 of them since the beginning of 2000, including four from Novaya Gazeta.[6] It also placed Russia at number 9 in the world for numbers of journalists killed with complete impunity.[7]"

RIGHT ON!!

"As part of its movement, Democracy Spring is pushing lawmakers to pass legislation that would boost the power of small campaign contributions, offer public funding for political candidates, and update the Voting Rights Act of 1965 in order to protect minority and lower-income voters at the polls.

The group is also calling for a constitutional amendment that would essentially overturn Supreme Court rulings giving corporations the ability to freely spend in elections. The amendment would end “the big money dominance of our elections and allows for Congress and the States to set overall limits on campaign spending, including prohibitions on corporate and union spending in the political process.”

“RIGHT ON!!”

Yes, I think so also.

When HUNDREDS of elderly Americans protest in front of such an edifice of American Freedoms and are not allocated ANY U.S. press (that I have seen), I have to think that our Government is keeping something from us.

Now, had they been long-haired hippie freak pinko fags, or other ‘degenerates’, poor or marginalized due to race or culture, perhaps we would have heard of their despicable actions and the forces necessary to contain and disperse them.

There is NO investigative reporting allowed any longer in the U.S. or regarding U.S. “assets” in the World to be published, and the reportage now is from mega-Conglomerate’s that are able to control policy throughout the nation and much of the world.

Yes, alternative media is imperative to understanding.

“Many of the media are controlled by large for-profit corporations who reap revenue from advertising, subscriptions, and sale of copyrighted material. American media conglomerates tend to be leading global players, generating large revenues as well as large opposition in many parts of the world. With the passage of the Telecommunications Act of 1996, further deregulation and convergence are under way, leading to mega-mergers, further concentration of media ownership, and the emergence of multinational media conglomerates. These mergers enable tighter control of information.[1] Currently, six corporations control roughly 90% of the media….Theories to explain the success of such companies include reliance on certain policies of the American federal government or a tendency to natural monopolies in the industry. See Media bias in the United States.
The organisation Reporters Without Borders compiles and publishes an annual ranking of countries based upon the organisation's assessment of their press freedom records. In 2013-14 United States was ranked 46th out of 180 countries, a drop of thirteen points from the preceding year.”
