Dog shelters in Ensenada

I've been looking on google and different forums only to find them all over Baja, but can't find anything in Ensenada. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I don't have a car so travel outside Ensenada then to bring a dog home would be difficult.

I lost my baby boy I brought from Canada in December, and although I'm not quite sure I'm ready to adopt again, I would like to at least start looking.

Thanks!

I looked at their website and it gives San Diego as their address, then I noticed going back again, it's their mailing address . Guess I was busy looking at their pups :)

Yeah, they are in Cantu, Punta Banda. I think San Diego is the mailing address and where they are registered as a 501

I will, for sure! I'm still in the "heart hurt" stage of losing my 11 year old buddy. He was such a trooper taking his first flight with me to Ensenada. His death was really sudden, and I have to give credit to Dr. Rico for doing his best and then helping me with everything afterward.
Will definitely be going back once I find another friend.
I renewed my contract to teach at the preschool for another year, so I really want to give one of those homeless guys a place to chill and get spoiled :) Maxie was like my third child.

I hope you wind up with a dog that picks you!

Mainly because of timing, I did not want the dog I that I have now, but she picked me. It turns out that she was right!

If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!

That is so sweet. Isn't that usually the case? It's exactly what happened when I got Max, he had retreated to the back of the kennel at the shelter and seemed very nervous towards the lady looking after him. When I came up he ran right over to me and when I took him out, he sat down on my foot and wouldn't move. That was it, game over.

Looking at the website it seems that there are a lot of puppies or young dogs there at the moment. I would like to get a bit older dog, small if possible. I have a small apartment but quite a bit of outdoor space with great places to walk to.
