Password problem...need help, please

Nomads/Admin,
Last week my password did not work, so I went into my User Control Panel and followed the lost/forgot password procedure. Within seconds my e-mail had a new one (too complicated to remember) but I could login with it cut/pasted....but found I could not change it to one of my own...seems one problem was a one day-wait to enter my own p-word...so after several go arounds with admin sending new (temporary) p-words...I don't know how to enter/use a password of my own creation.

What am I not doing right?

Gracias for any help..:?:

Ged a techie...I think not! He did manage to post some unedited GoPro footage, and that almost got him kicked out of the SOL (Stubborn Order of Luddites).

We voted to give him a second chance, but if he starts inserting drone shots and sound tracks, he is outta here!

Obviously, I am no help with the pass word thing.

It happened to me once before, and I have managed to retrace the steps I was given to re-set my password.

After you get your new temporary pass word, go to the user control panel again.
Select Edit Profile, and you should be able to change your password. I re-set the one I used to have (some websites won't allow that)
Good luck!

I use https://lastpass.com/ and only have to remember one password. In my line of work (a techie) I have too many passwords to manage not to have some sort of help.

The above is correct.

Ged, if it's still a problem you should send me an email.

Thx.

Glad you got it straightened out. My own membership in SOL is now in jeopardy for attempting to help, especially since I posted my reply in Canadian!
