2017 Baja Pole Line Run stickers
Baja Pole Line Run stickers have been designed!
I will probably mail these out for a small price to people who are interested in 2 stickers. But, I will wait until these arrive from the printers.

Looks good. Can I do it in a Tundra?

Your Tundra might get beat-up. Along the rocker panels, primarily. But, Tacoma trucks do great. I donno. TW and David K would be good people to
ask. But, when a full-size lifted pickup on 35s went on the run, He had some difficulties.

Maybe if you have tall enough tires to overcome the long wheelbase. Full size trucks are at a disadvantage because of the rocks. But you could try.

I think either Presidents Day weekend or Semana Santa. I'm leaning towards Presidents Day weekend.
I hope to have stickers later this month.

Here is my Baja Bound article on last year's Pole Line Road trip:

Mileages between blue arrows along the 1942 road (except the 5.3 mi. in Arroyo Grande, which is the access to the old road from the wells, west of La
Ventana):

Ken, you 2015 trip was great (overall)... Maybe no Fords should be invited the next time (LOL)?
Seriously, do you have an itinerary or different idea than last time? I hope Paul can join us. He was a big help in scouting the detour around the
locked gate a few days before our group trip.
Shown in 1953:
Mapped accurately in 1962 by Howard Gulick:
Here are the topo maps of the route... (dotted line)
Close up topos, from west to east from the bottom of the summit to Arroyo Grande on the 1942 road:

Hey David,
Its always when a friend of a friend comes along when problems arise - just kidding!
I am giving my Jeep a $5,000 makeover this week, and I'm as healthy as ever - having fought back against my Type 2 Diabetes.
My only challenge is arranging a date when it will work with my vacation time and everyone elses. I need to complete the run and have time to return
home without being rushed or having to pull an all-nighter with work the next day. Either early January, mid February or the weekend preceeding
Thanksgiving work best.
I plan on making new Pole Line apparel for the event once a date gets nailed down. Another design of stickers will be produced as well! If I can get
everyone's preferred time of year, month of year then I can get the ball rolling.
I also want to mail these stickers out to people to stick them in high-visibility locations to drum up a lot of excitement like we had in 2015. Give
me your mailing address and I'll send you 10 stickers (free). This way, everyone hears about the 2017 Baja Pole Line Run!
