Before Newton (Monday)

The colors are amazing this morning! The photos just don't bring out how really nice it is here this morning. Hope that the forecast and path are wrong for Newton as they usually are this early in an event.
In the first photo you can just make out the south island. It is really clear without the camera.

It is so early yet to do too much worrying. Consider the last episode and it was a non-event. This one isn't expected to get to hurricane strength so I'll watch it and report as I hope others will. I know the frustration of not being here and worrying about your property.
It's pretty nice out now.
