Mexicali - anyone living there or lived there?

I plan to spend the winter in Mexicali. Anyone have recommendations/advice about the area? Thanks in advance!

OK, but you might think about clearing our of there by about May 15th. It's mucho Caliente in Summer, or until about Sept 15th!!!! I lived in El Centro, just up the road, for 13 years. Mexicali is truly a great city, with loads of great places to eat. We loved that place, even with the heat.

For me, Mexicali is just a place to get through as fast as possible. That's just me.

Living Large in Loreto. Off-grid and happy.
