more CSU developments in Todos Santos
Colorado State University's student paper published this article about a College of Business opening up in Todos Santos. With no mention of Tres Santos or MIRA, it begs the question of whether the
university is determined to establish an identity independent of its benefactors, or is trying to create some positive PR as a diversionary tactic.

It's trying to justify a reason for students and staff to go to a pretty, budding resort area and have some fun while earning college credits or a
paycheck. It would have been too obvious if they did it in Cabo.
I'm both cynical and skeptical of this endeavor. From the link:
"The Colorado State University Todos Santos Center is the university’s first international location and is core to CSU’s mission of teaching,
research, service, and outreach."
How many Spanish speaking people are in TS?
La Paz makes more sense.

I guess the expat-to-Mexican ratio in Todos Santos is more favorable for the Trustafarians looking to combine an MBA with yoga and artisinal mezcal
tastings.

Research trips - that's what they call them on their expense reports. (24 trips with 100 people? 4 people per trip? All that development for 100
people?) Students will be getting a skewed view of "international" entrepreneurship. Observing the business model of Shut Up Franks would be an
inspiration? Their ideas sound arrogant and I think the presence of an American university in this small town would further diminish its "Bajaness"
for other travelers. They should go about their business treading softly and respecting the town for what it is.

After a concerted effort by a few to get CSU to back out of Todos Santos, looks like they are going strong.

Hard to say...but the concerted effort involved a lot of negative publicity in Colorado which did not seem to cause the decision makers to alter their
plans. At this point in time I tend to think that CSU have their own interests in mind. It would have been too easy to opt out over the last couple
of years if the only interest was MIRA.

or funds to another without conditions attached. Some of the “gift” conditions imposed on CSU by Tres Santos include:
CSU is required to allow Tres Santos to use the CSU name and trademarks in its marketing
CSU is required to identify its research papers with corporate branding determined with Tres Santos
CSU is obligated to conduct business classes targeted at enterprises within the Tres Santos Project
If CSU academics openly question anything about the development, the University could forfeit more than $1,000,000 of Colorado taxpayers’ funds that
have been spent to date on the construction and opening of CSU’s Tres Santos Campus.
There is a clause in the Trust that spells out Events of Breach and defines it to include “any… [CSU] action that materially prejudices the brand or
reputation of Tres Santos.” If that happens, the entire “gift of land and buildings” would revert to Tres Santos and CSU would be removed from the
MIRA property. Colorado taxpayers would lose their entire “investment” in Mexico.

We already know that you and TruthSantos are biased, skeptical, and critical....but I still don't see where they could not have opted out if they
wanted. The projects quoted here are short term conservation project.
