The restaurant is closed on Mondays. There is a new owner and there are some new employees. Everything has been redone and from what I'm hearing the food is a bit better than last year. I haven't heard if Hotelito is open yet but my neighbor checked it out last night and said the rooms appear to have had a make over also. He said everything was exceptionally clean. Sorry I don't have the contact info.

Yes, the hotelito is open and going. They did a lot of remodeling and things are really fantastic. Too bad you caught it on Monday when they are closed. We have been playing music on Friday nights there for 3 weeks. Victor's cell is 615-106-4788

Jim, do you think the hotel might remain open into the early summer with the new ownership?

Posted earlier regarding El Hotelito:

"Restaurant renovation under way with a projected opening of Oct 15. Doing new roof (pictures to follow) and a solar system for longer hours of operation."

I don't know if this means they'll stay open longer in the season.

It would be nice to have it open for the Bulls Only tournament........but I understand the economics of closing when all the residents have left.

Maybe this year I will see if I can get rooms at Terco's in SR and just leave from there. Do you think the "rules committee" would allow this?

There's just something about boating 75 miles, to fish in a tournament for a vanishing species, that appeals to me. I think it is called masochism.

Yes, the plan at this point is to be open through the Bulls Only Tournament.
