Current parking options w/ trailer - Tecate

I usual park on the Mex side by immigration - where the guy moves the cones - I can't recall how much room there is ? I'm towing a 12 foot cargo trailer this time - probably not enough room ? Alternatively what are the current parking options on the US side for a trailer? Friend said there is a large parking lot behind the shopping center - up the hill where semis park ?

Shouldn't be a problem. He's parked me pulling a 14 foot tin boat on a trailer with a long bed crew cab. I stuck out into the road a bit and he put a cone in front to make it visible.

There is a shopping area before you make the slight turn for the border on the left. It has gas pumps and there is room to park. Probably could also park in the payless shoe lot which is just before the border on the right or park along the curb. I see lots of tractor trailer gigs parked that way. You may be able to park where the guy moves the cones on the side of the street since you won't be gone long.

About two weeks ago (on a Monday or Tuesday morning) I went to get my boat's importation permit (temporary= 10 years for about $56.00 US), I drove right into Tecate Customs and they had me park the Tacoma 4dr, long bed and the 18' trailer right there where the guys move the cones right before the bumps and steel gates (far left).

I hope this helps.
