Heads up in Ensenada!
We parked on the main street (malecon) right in the center of Ensenada, in broad daylight with people everywhere. We locked our RV, went for
breakfast, returned and went on down the road. We were in San Quintin before we realized that someone had used a key, entered the RV, taken my
computers, DVD player and RELOCKED the door so we would not notice! Be careful in Ensenada, they are getting slick. jinx ps anyone in Baja got a
computer for sale???

Just last week, I was informed by a business owner that had some customer vehicles stolen/broken into with property theft in broad daylight outside
his business that the police told him that the thieves are very sophisticated these days.
They, the theives, sit in in good prospecting areas with a computer set up to record lock codes put out by remotes.
The unsuspecting owner of the vehicle goes into the establishment; the thieves are in and out and maybe take the vehicle also,within minutes.

So does this mean that the door lock codes or alarm codes are being recorded? Just one more thing I need to disable on the rig I guess.

When you use your remote it sends a signal that can be intercepted. I would use my key to lock the car. The same could be said for unlocking it if you
repeatedly park in the same location.

You know, I knew that...but never applied the logic. Sure, why not and easier to intercept than cell signals.
But just once let me catch them in the act!

Just checked with my source in the Ensenada P.D. and learned that there were a reported 68 cars stolen during the last week (Carnival) here in
Ensenada. Whenever I have to go into the city I always park in a secure location and never on the street. I eat alot at Casamar and if you park in
their lot next to the restaurant and tip the guy a few bucks you can walk the city and leave your car there.

If stolen, the best way to get your vehicle back
Offer the police a reward.
If they didn't have a hand in taking it, they usually know who did.
