ATM question??


any info on the maximum peso withdrawal at an ATM at various banks in mexico?

thanks amigos, we are leaving idaho wednesday, final destination los barrilles.

While it might vary from bank to bank, the most I've seen is 6,000 pesos, or a little less than $300 US.

Your limits are going to depend on who issues your card and which bank ATM you use to withdraw funds

I remember at least 7000, I took that much out. There is also the option to put in a custom amount. But I had so much trouble getting the ATMs to work I can't vouch for it.

I recommend getting as much as you can the first time you use your card. I had two cards, they only worked one time each.

be sure to have various cards (ie from different American banks ) at your disposal! I have seen what having no money panic feels like with friends and it isn't pretty.
