Phone reservation for Baja Cactus Motel in El Rosario
I'm wanting to make a phone reservation at Baja Cactus Motel for Monday night April 24th but my call won't go through. Is it because my Verizon phone
isn't set up for international calls yet? Couldn't find a way to reserve online either. Do you think rooms would be available on a Monday without a
reservation? Thanks in advance!

Good idea to make reservations there now a days. 2 times in a row I haven't been able to get a room due to large road-trip groups renting out the
entire place!!
In that pre-Google Earth and social media epoch, The Code was adhered to. It was based on a simple verity: if a locale had been transformational for
you, and you had put the hard yards in to get there and to learn it, to know it, why in gods name would you broadcast the news, thus ruining the
future experience not only for yourself, but for future adventurers?

Antonio ('BajaCactus' on Nomad) is the owner and he reads the daily emails (every time in my experience) and I think is the best way to make a
reservation. He is bilingual, so no need for Spanish to ask for a certain day reservation. If you have any questions, I will be there tomorrow night
(if my reservation worked, lol) and ask for you. The email is: info AT bajacactus.com, obviously replace the AT with @ and no spaces.
If Baja cactus is full, then Motel Turista (at the other end of town) is my second option.
Other INNs in El Rosario are Motel Las Cabañas (Mama Espinoza's place, next to Baja Cactus), Motel Sinahi & RV Park (Primo's place), and Baja's
Best Bed & Breakfast (Ed's place).

I also tried to call them and email them a couple of weeks ago - they do not respond to emails. However, with their phone number the online number is
listed as:
52 1 616 165 8860.
Note that the "1" following 52 is for calling cell phones in Mexico but I am pretty sure the number is for a land line. Dial it without the 1 and the
call should go through. I got through that way but the connection was so bad I need to try again. Plus my Spanish sucks so I need my husband to
help...!! Good luck.

Called them twice. Once to make a reservation and then to change it. Always answered the phone and great to deal with.

Good heavens the phone number is +52 616-165-8850, not 8860. Sorry.
Was wondering why I was having trouble... I am an old dork as my kids would say.
